About Us

Hispanics Of Today and Tomorrow (HOTT) of Emporia, KS, was founded by just six members back in 1998 with the intention of providing scholarships to high school students of Hispanic heritage. Today, almost 25 years later, the organization has awarded over $104,000 in scholarships to aid students of Hispanic heritage in their pursuit of a college degree.

HOTT has been able to provide these educational funds to our Hispanic community through local sponsorships and the proceeds from two cultural events that HOTT hosts every year, Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los Muertos. These events, filled with live music, traditional foods and family fun, offer a culturally immersive educational experience that serves a population size of about 77,000 people in the surrounding Lyon County areas.

HOTT encourages and educates Latino leaders who want to make a difference in the local community while embracing their culture and heritage. Lastly, we contribute and partner with local community organizations to support and deliver programs and events that can create a stronger Emporia.
